VFW POST 2778 Appleton, Wisconsin 54911 Membership Promoting patriotism and helping veterans in need are just two of the many ways that the Auxiliary serves their Posts and America's communities. The Ladies Auxiliary also has its own volunteer programs directed at VA, state and community. Most Frequent Membership Questions Asked: Who is Eligible for Membership? Wives, widows, mothers, foster and stepmothers (who have performed the duties of parent), grandmothers, daughters, granddaughters, foster and stepdaughters (who attained that status prior to the age of sixteen and for whom the duties of parent were performed), sisters, half sisters, foster and stepsisters (who attained that status prior to age sixteen) of persons who were or are eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Members must be citizens of the United States and not less than sixteen years old Women eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States shall be eligible for dual membership in the Ladies Auxiliary. Many of our Post members don't realize that all of these family members are eligible to join. Some believe it is only their wives. So, please encourage members that you know who have sisters, mothers, etc, who are not already members to join. They do not have to live in Appleton or the State of Wisconsin to join Appleton's Ladies Auxiliary. Complete the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Application; then either mail or take it to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary monthly meeting along with your dues ($18.00 initially). Provide a copy of the veteran's (under whose eligibility you are joining) latest DD-214 or discharge papers for the older veterans that weren't issued a DD-214. Click Here for Membership APPLICATION. What is the cost of dues? Annual Membership Annual Membership: VFW Auxiliary 2778 annual membership dues are $15.00 per year. New members are $15.00 plus $3.00 admission fee; please fill out the application, indicate your preference for annual membership, and submit it. Payment may be by cash or check only. Life Membership: To request Life Membership, please fill out the application, indicate your preference for life membership, and submit it. Payment may be by cash, check or credit card. Our auxiliary offers a $25.00 rebate to any new or annual member that purchases a Life Membership. Please contact our Ladies Auxiliary Treasurer Judy Borg for info.
