VFW members are here because they understand the true essence of America, its ideals and beliefs, and the price they paid to be eligible to join the ranks of the VFW. Our country's veterans were the defenders of freedom and as an Appleton community veteran's organization; we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group. Who is Eligible for Membership?
VFW membership is available to all U.S. citizens honorably discharged from the U.S. armed forces and who have earned an overseas campaign medal. (Note: A 1995 VFW Congressional Charter amendment makes eligible all those who have served 30 consecutive days or 60 non-consecutive days on the Korean peninsula or in its territorial waters from June 30, 1949 until the present day.

How do I join?
Complete the VFW Application;
then either mail or take it to the Post along with your dues ($27.00 initially).
Provide a copy of your latest DD-214 or for the older veterans that weren't issued a DD-214,
a copy of your discharge papers.

What is the cost of dues?
- Annual Membership
New members are $25.00 plus $2.00 admission fee.
Please fill out the application, indicate your preference for annual membership, and submit it. Payment may be by cash or check only.
- Life Membership:
Notice to Annual Members:
For all of you annual members be advised that there is a plan by the National Headquarters to basically double life membership fees effective January 1, 2006. In view of this, we strongly encourage you to consider getting your Life Membership card as soon as possible. Remember that our Post does offer a $35.00 rebate to any annual member that purchases a Life Membership. Please contact our Post Quartermaster Steven Conto.
